PRODUCT INFORMATION

What do I need as a beginner to Yoga?

We always feel that a beginner to Yoga mainly needs an open mind and heart, and a nice surface to practice on. Any of our yoga mats would be suitable, but if you are just starting and not ready to make the investment in a higher end mat, try one of the basic and lower-priced Hybrid Eco Mats as a good base for your practice.

We have some great beginners Yoga DVDs and reference books if you would like to start your own practice at home before venturing to a Yoga studio. Once you determine you LOVE yoga and want to explore it deeper, depending on your level of flexibility and the type of Yoga you pursue, you may want to purchase a block or blocks and/or a practice strap for deepening your postures. Beginners tend to find these very helpful.

Also, depending on the type of Yoga, it is nice to have your own blanket and bolster, however, many studios carry a supply of these. Over time, you might find that you want to own your own yoga products to make them more personal to your practice, and also to have them available for your home practice.

Although you can wear any old sweat pants to practice Yoga in at any time, we do have some wonderfully soft and comfortable Yoga clothing available for men and women that is especially designed for comfort and movement for your practice.

Which is your most popular practice rug?

Masala and Bengal Blue with OM have long been our most popular rugs. Goa, Darjeeling and Jammu are also newer favorites.

Do your sizes run true to size?

Most of our clothing runs true to size. We recommend that you order the size you generally wear. Some exceptions are:

• OMgirl clothing tends to run about one size smaller than "standard" sizing because the style on most of the shirts and pants is fitted to show off your Yoga body.
• Prana clothing seems to run slightly large, but does shrink if desired.
• Hemp clothing runs very true to size, but may seem slightly small when you first try it on, however this clothing gets larger with age. It does tighten up in the wash but loosens very quickly after wearing it. It is EXTREMELY comfortable.

Why is there limited OMgirl stock/selection?

We have the largest selection of OMgirl clothing available online. All designs are not made in every color, so some designs might seem limited in colors, but if there is a color you are looking for, we are sure to have it in at least 2 designs on our site. Colors also change seasonally, so colors and designs come and go as the OMgirl line is very popular and sells out fast. Get it while you can!

Can you contact me when you get a new product shipment?

Yes! It is possible to backorder almost any item we carry. Please send an email to info@barefootyoga.com or call us at 1-206-272-9642 and give us the name of the item you are looking for. We will contact you by email or phone once the item is in stock again.

GIFT IDEAS

What would be a good gift for a yoga enthusiast?

Anything we sell on our web site is a great gift for a Yoga enthusiast! Some items might be better gifts than others depending on the type of Yoga your friend, colleague or family member practices.

For Astanga and Bikram students - or any Yogis who do a heat-building or "sweatier" practice - the Mysore Practice Rug™ makes a great gift, even if they already have one.

For Yogis who use props, straps or blocks are a great choice, particularly our unique Bamboo or Indian Rosewood Practice Blocks.

For any Yoga practioner or non-practitioner, our luxurious Silk Eye Pillows make a great gift by virtue of their ability to shut out darkness and relax the little muscles around the eyes. They soothe the senses with the relaxing smell of lavender during the common last pose in any Yoga sequence (savasana - corpse pose - relaxing while lying on your back). You can choose scented or unscented.

If you cannot decide on a gift, you can give a gift card in the amount of your choice. Gift cards can be redeemed online or by phone, and you can even schedule email delivery on a specific day.

If your order has not already shipped, we can generally change or cancel it. If your order has already shipped and you wish to return or exchange anything, please see our return policy.

Do you offer discounts for Yoga teachers?

How can I find out about new promotions and sales?

Join our email list! Just enter your email address into the form at the top of our website to receive emails about new products, promotions and sales. You can also email us at info@barefootyoga.com and ask to be added to the list. We send emails an average of 2-3 times per month.

SHIPPING AND ORDER TRACKING

What are my shipping options?

We offer FedEx, UPS and USPS Priority Mail shipping options, depending upon your location. You can calculate approximate shipping costs using the Shipping Estimator in the shopping cart.

How do I track my order?

When your order is shipped, an email confirmation from Barefoot Yoga will automatically be sent to the email address you entered in your online order. The letter will provide your shipping details and information on how to track your package.

Can you help me with the tracking or delivery of my order?

RETURN POLICY

How do I return something?

We guarantee all of our merchandise. We take pride in the products we offer and in the service we provide. Your complete satisfaction is our top priority.

If you are dissatisfied with any of our products, we will exchange it, replace it, or credit your account within 30 days of purchase, less shipping costs (note exceptions below).

You may return unused and unwashed items only in good, saleable condition for a full refund. After 30 days if the item is still unused, unwashed and in 'like new' condition, we will issue a store credit. If returned items are used or otherwise not in 'like new' condition, we will not be able to issue a refund, but will contact you to see if you would like the item(s) shipped back to you at your own expense.

Exceptions: 50% off sale items, customized items, special orders and any washed or worn items are non returnable.

For proper credit, please include with your return:

1) A copy of your invoice (included with your order and sent by email)
2) A detailed description of how you would like us to handle your return/exchange

All returned merchandise must be carefully packed and will be subject to charge if not in saleable condition. You are responsible for return shipping charges unless otherwise arranged in advance with us. Original shipping charges are non-refundable and all International shipping charges are non-refundable.

VISITING BAREFOOT YOGA

Can I come in and try something on?

We are located in Seattle, Washington and are a mail order office/warehouse. We do not currently have a showroom for viewing our products. Everything is packaged and ready to ship. However, if you are in the Seattle area, know exactly what you would like to order and would like to save on the shipping cost, we can set up a mutually convenient time for picking up the item(s) at our location. Please call us at 206-272-9642 to set up an appointment. The best pick up times for us are 9:30am-5:00pm, M-F. We will have the package ready for your pick up before you come. 

Do any stores or yoga studios sell your products?

Yes, thousands of yoga studios, stores and spas worldwide sell many, though not all of our products. If you'd like to see if there's a location near you, click here. If they don't carry the product you're looking for, please encourage them to consider carrying it.
