Earthy Clay red colored rug with navy blue Indian details at the top and bottom of rug.

Standard: 28" wide x 74" long x 1/8" thick

Our rugs are traditionally used for Astanga yoga and recommended by Pattabhi Jois in Mysore, India today. They are also excellent for any athletic or sweat-producing yoga practice like Bikram Method Yoga. These decorative and tightly woven cotton rugs have been used for centuries for Hatha Yoga and are considered to be the first mats ever used for Yoga practice in India.

The rugs rest nicely over any Yoga Mat and most floor surfaces, adding extra cushion for sitting postures and better traction and stability for standing postures by absorbing perspiration and moisture that would otherwise make your mat slippery. (We recommend using a mat under your rug to keep it from moving on the floor).

Added Bonus: Woven lines in the pattern are guides for your hands and feet to help achieve correct alignment.

I love mine! I have the Henna. It's almost ten years old and still in wonderful shape. Review by Rebecca / (Posted on 2/6/2015)
