Aqua Blue colored rug with pale orange integrated into the weave, with two 7-inch aqua blue stripes at the top and bottom of rug.

Standard: 28" wide x 74" long x 3-5mm thick

Our rugs are traditionally used for Astanga yoga and recommended by Pattabhi Jois in Mysore, India today. They are also excellent for any athletic or sweat-producing yoga practice like Bikram Method Yoga. These decorative and tightly woven cotton rugs have been used for centuries for Hatha Yoga and are considered to be the first mats ever used for Yoga practice in India.

The rugs rest nicely over any Yoga Mat and most floor surfaces, adding extra cushion for sitting postures and better traction and stability for standing postures by absorbing perspiration and moisture that would otherwise make your mat slippery. (We recommend using a mat under your rug to keep it from moving on the floor).

Our rugs are loom woven by hand, and rug dimensions may vary somewhat from weaver to weaver. Each rug is a unique and authentic hand-crafted product.

Added Bonus: Woven lines in the pattern are guides for your hands and feet to help achieve correct alignment.
